BioOn his eleventh birthday, Will Stanton received some rather impressive powers and it was revealed to him that he was the last of the Old Ones, people who are scattered throughout time and who work for the Light (the basic force behind all that is good) and fight the Dark.
His first quest was to collect the six signs (wood, bronze, iron, water, fire and stone) so that the Dark could be driven to the edges of the world. His family (six brothers and two sisters) were threatened during all this, but they also, unwittingly, helped him achieve his goal.
Later on, Will meets with three children (and even later, a fourth) and together, along with help from Merriman (or Merlion), The Lady, King Arthur and several more friends, they defeat the Dark once and for all. The ending, however, isn't all that happy, since the memories of all the 'normal' humans are erased and all the other Old Ones retire into the Light, leaving him all on his own to be the watchman for the Light.
One of Will's more impressive powers is that he can travel through time by walking through the Doors, which he can summon at any time he should need them. Usually, meaning not in Port
Mango, he can also speak any language, fly like the eagles, swim like the fish in the sea, etc, etc.
How he got to Port Mango: Will meant to open The Doors and go to ancient Rome to check up on things there, but something went slightly wrong and he ended up in Port Mango.
